I have a large extended family living in different places. About two hundred of us get together once a year for a time of celebration and sharing. We organize good food, activities, sports and talent shows. One of the highlights of this event is a time of sharing. Each family shares what they've been doing and what’s new in their life.

This year we came up with a new idea. We bought a projection TV screen and told everybody to make presentations with their photos. We then showed the pictures on the projection TV screen as we shared our experiences with everyone. It was so much more interesting. They say pictures speak louder than words, and it’s really true. I got to see my aunt’s new car, my grandmother’s goldfish and my nieces’ first tooth.
We had a lot of fun laughing and looking at each other's photos. It made everyone’s stories so real.  We also got a lot of ideas about places to visit and things to do. Having an projection TV screen brightened up our family get together and made our time so much more meaningful.
