home theater system, projection tv screen<--Time for a Change

Have you ever been to the movie theaters and scratched your head at the video quality? After all, you are paying an arm and a leg to take anyone there. The food costs 300 percent more then in the stores, the seats aren’t that comfortable and the resolution is mediocre so why haven’t cinemas updated their projectors? Cost, apparently. I don’t understand why movie theaters don’t go digital but that’s another story.

In news released yesterday, Regal Cinemas is in fact upgrading to a Sony projection TV screen set up in all of their 500+ locations over the next 3 to five years but the people want a change now. This is a good start but when a home theater system can produce video quality light years ahead of the cinema there is no question why more and more people are staying home to watch movies. Cinemas need to abandon film reels and move to locked, encrypted movie files. Spend the extra money on security so people don’t steal the movies and the problem will be solved. If only it was that easy.
