Microsoft Age of Empires III

Born in the late 80’s as soon as I could tie my own shoes game consoles like the original Nintendo were the big thing in technology. Then came Sega, PC games, SNES, N64, Playstation, PS2, Xbox, PS3 and Xbox 360. That is a lot of gaming evolution. Our family never had an original Nintendo. My little hands got their gaming fix on the computer. My favorite PC games then and now are real time strategy titles like Star Craft, Warcraft and Age of Empires. Out of those three, the franchise that has stood the test of time is Age of Empires. It has gotten better with every new installment.

I turn to Microsoft Age of Empires III for my real time strategy fix. It is the classic game to take over the digital free world. My favorite empires to build from scratch are the British or Roman. My favorite way to place this game is on my LCD HDTV and home theater system. I just connect my laptop to the LCD HDTV with an S-video cord and an audio cord coming out of the headphone jacket and my computer screen gets a real size increase.

I have had my copy of Age of Empires for a long time. Over the years, it has been abused from computer tray to computer tray. It finally got an irreversible scratch that randomly freezes the game at any moment. It always seems to happen 45 minutes into building a society. This is a long, strategic game and I can’t tell you how frustrating it is when the game just freezes. All that work for nothing.

I want to replace it with a new copy. I have since hit the web looking for a new cheap copy.
