This morning my brother called me to ask if he could borrow our Garmin GPS for an upcoming hiking trip he has planned with his friends. I was a little surprised that he didn’t already have a Garmin GPS of his own, but he said that he’d wanted to buy one, but hadn’t taken the time to actually search for one and order it. I was more than happy for him to use our Garmin GPS, and at the same time, it gave me an idea for a Christmas gift for my brother. It was something I’d need to discuss with my husband, since I knew that he was the one who drew my brother’s name this year for Christmas, and I wasn’t sure if he already had another gift idea in mind for my brother aside from the GPS.
Before hanging up my brother thanked me and said he’d stop in this afternoon to pick up the Garmin GPS on his way home from work. He’s wanted to hike the Smokies for years, and it looks like he’s going to get his chance. I hope they have great weather.
