home theater, home theater systemEver since we got our home theater system, my husband has been enjoying sports much more than he used to. I certainly don't hold it against that because he works really hard all week and deserves to plop on the couch and watch a football game or two on the weekends. He has a tough commute and really deserves to unwind on weekends, and now that we have a big screen home theater, he gets really wrapped up in the games much more than he used to.

Thankfully, I work at home, so when I want to take a break, I simply pop in a movie or watch a DVD on the home theater. My stress level is so much lower than his, so for me, the home theater is a way to get new information instead of relaxation. We check out informative documentaries from our public library all the time and I often use the documentaries as source material for the work I do online. At first I was somewhat resistant to putting in a widescreen home theater, but now that we have it, I'm a total believer in the new LCD HDTV systems.
