I spend a lot of time outside with my family. We tend to go for hikes and nature walks instead of staying in and watching TV. Not that we don’t watch TV together. It is just that I like to make sure we spend as much if not more quality time outside than inside. Last weekend we were taking a walk and unexpectedly came across a deer. It just stood there and watched us for about a minute before bounding off. I wish I had my Canon digital camera with me so I could have taken its picture. My husband suggested that we start taking our Canon digital camera with us so we can take pictures of the unusual.

Now I do like the Canon digital camera we have. It is my husband’s baby and is great for taking pictures on holidays and family gatherings. It is a bit big though, with extra lenses and a stand. It is not something I want to lug around on a hike. I wanted a smaller, lighter Canon digital camera that would be easy to carry and use. More of a click and point style rather than the more professional photographer style my husband likes. Naturally we still wanted great pictures and we knew we wanted to stay with Canon digital cameras because of the quality.

We found a camera we liked right away, the Canon Blue 12.1MP Compact Digital Camera with 28mm Wide-Angle 4x Optical Zoom and 2.8" LC. It had all the features my husband liked and the size and easy of use I wanted. My kids even liked the color.
