Home Theater
My husband came home from work not too long ago with this brilliant idea of wanting to turn one of our spare bedrooms into a home theater. I looked at him as though he’d lost his mind. He begins explaining to me how he and the guys from work were talking about how one of them had watched a soccer game at someone’s home who had a projection TV screen and how it was almost as great as being there. From that idea, he came to the conclusion that our largest guest bedroom would make a perfect home theater, and a place that he and all the guys can watch the big game.
I didn’t say a word. I stared at him and probably raised my eyebrows a little. He wants to turn the guest room that everyone who visits uses into a home theater for game day? I waited for the punch line, thinking surely there must be one, but obviously he was serious, dead serious. Eventually I think he got the hint from my silence and the obvious lack of enthusiasm on my face, and he hasn’t mentioned it again. I love my husband dearly, but a home theater in the guest room? Not on your life.
