home theater, home theater system

If there is one thing I do not like it is clutter. I try to keep my home as minimalistic as I can. That means no extra furniture, no little trinkets on the shelves, and nothing out of place. It drives my husband crazy. He is the exact opposite of me. When he wanted to put in a home theater, I was a little worried.

The shop area, where he does all of his woodworking, and mechanic work, is what I would term a disaster area. There are tools everywhere! So, the first thing I pictured in my mind when he told me he wanted to put in a home theater was his shop! I could just imagine a home theater full of TV's, DVD players, stands, speakers, and wires! Oh, the horror!

In the end, all my fears were unwarranted. Except for one little piece, you can not even tell that there is an elaborate home theater system in our home. I have to admit that my husband did a tremendous job of creating a minimalistic view of our new home theater. In fact, he did it in a way that I was not expecting. (Don't husbands usually do that anyway?)

Instead of buying a large screen LCD television, my husband opted to go with a projection system. I had never seen anything from a projector before, but the picture quality if very good and you only need one simple component. He bought a projector that plays DVD's and can connect directly to the satellite system. This made installing a minimalist home theater much easier. However, one piece, the projection screen, would have to be attached to the wall.

My husband looked all over for a screen that would fit the home theater and the overall decor of the living room so it would blend in easily. He found a screen at an online shopping site called RB Wholesale Direct This online website can be found by visiting www.rbwholesaledirect.com. They have a lot of different home theater components, including a great looking screen - 100" Diagonal Home Cinema. Model - M100XWH - that my husband ordered.

When people come over, they usually make some sort of statement about our minimalistic home theater. Usually, this is along the lines of, "Wow! Can you do that in my home too?" My husband just smiles and tells everyone that they can go to RB Wholesale Direct to find the screen. But, everything else he builds will include wires and several components. I am glad that my living room does not look like his shop. My husband is really the best.
