Finding My Way With Garmin GPS |

I have always struggled with directions and finding my way around strange locations. I generally get around by way of landmarks. I do not function well with directions that say go North or South. When I use the printout of directions from the internet I get very nervous. It is not a comfortable feeling for me to drive and look away from the road to read written directions. I often find myself pulling off the road or turning around because I missed the mark.
The Garmin GPS has been a wonderful tool for me. It allows me to drive in new areas without getting lost. The verbal directions are invaluable when I am in busy traffic. Plus my husband has been freed up from my frantic phone calls. I would more times than not give him a call when I pulled off the road in a frenzy of being lost. He would do his best to remain calm with me but it was not a good scene for either of us. I have found the Garmin GPS easy to use. I just plug in the address I am leaving from and then where I intend to go. The Garmin GPS will negate the best route and my verbal buddy guides me along the way. I even get words of encouragement upon arrival at my destination. The Garmin GPS is a wonderful thing! |
