LCD HDTVs are a popular gift this year. I gave one to my dad and on Christmas I heard of several people who received a new LCD. Since they have become so affordable lately, lots of people are buying them as gifts. I even know of parents who bought one for their kids' rooms. Those were some happy kids on Christmas morning! Since the LCD HDTV can hang on the wall so easily, parents are liking them for the kids rooms now. That keeps fingerprints off the screens, which means less cleaning for the mom and dad. It is also safer for the kids, because having the television up on the wall means the children can't pull the TV down and get hurt or break it. My dad loved the LCD HDTV that my husband and I bought for him at Christmas too. He lives in a small apartment so it's a real space saver for him, having it hanging on the wall now. They really are a very popular gift these days, because of affordability and practicality.
