garmin gpsI like going on adventures and travel intrigues me. That’s why the Garmin GPS device will always be almost magical to me. I see the Garmin GPS as a gadget that opens doors and makes everything so much safer and more convenient whilst travelling. 
I remember when I was twenty-four and I took a teaching job in Athens, Greece. I was given instructions of how to get to the school. I was to get on the airport bus and get off at a certain destination where someone working for the school would pick me up. The problem was that it was about 9pm and very dark in the place where I was told to wait. Men in cars were slowing down and speaking to me in Greek and it was a little frightening. I had no idea what I’d do if the school driver didn’t come. Fortunately it wasn’t long before the driver arrived, but I was a little shaken by the time he got there.
When that event occurred I did not have a Garmin GPS. If they had existed then I would have simply plugged the destination of the school and taken a taxi from the airport. Therefore I would have felt much safer and less frightened. I think that the Garmin GPS is a sensible purchase for any young woman who plans on travelling alone.
