This year my daughter is graduating from high school and several of us have gotten together and decided to surprise our girls with a group trip to Europe. Before you ask, no, we're not sending them unchaperoned to get into who knows what, but instead three of us moms are going, along with a Garmin GPS to keep us from getting lost. The girls don't know yet what we're doing, but we've been raising funds behind the scenes and I've been keeping an eye out to find a Garmin GPS product that will help us with our journey.
For years I've wanted to visit Europe and even though the exchange rate is less than stellar right now between the Euro and the Dollar, I knew this would be a chance of a lifetime for the girls, so I decided to make it happen. I found the Garmin MapSource MetroGuide Europe v.7.0 that I ordered from RB Wholesale Direct whose online store can be found by visiting www.rbwholesaledirect.com/. Once the Garmin GPS maps arrived, I really became excited and knew that this trip was going to happen. I immediately loaded the Garmin GPS into my mini-laptop that I plan to bring with us on the trip, and started plotting different routes that we could take with the Garmin GPS.
The flights that I’ve been looking at so far have us mostly arriving in Amsterdam, Netherlands, which according to the Garmin GPS is a great starting point. I haven't decided yet if we are going to use the Garmin GPS and rent a car, of if we'll take public transportation and use the Garmin GPS on foot. Either way, the possibilities are endless. It will give me an opportunity to see Europe myself for the first time, plus have the chance to experience it with my daughter, her friends and some of my friends. It's going to be a trip to remember and I know that the Garmin GPS is going to help us find all the most important places to see and things to do. I still haven't decided when I'm going to tell my daughter about the trip. I'm a little concerned she'll see the Garmin GPS maps on the computer and start asking questions, and that definitely isn't the way I want her to find out, so I am going to have to get with the other moms and see what their plans are. In the meantime, I’ m plotting our route and getting more excited each day. |
