Using Home Theater to Fight Fire with Fire |

The guy who lives above us must not have to work very early in the morning because a handful of nights every single week we can hear him jamming out to some random late 90’s song. Some nights it is the Gin Blossoms others it is Hootie and the Blowfish. I can’t complain with the choice of music because he has got it dialed in but anything gets annoying when it’s getting in the way of say watching TV. Instead of ratting him out to the office, I decided to fight fire with fire. My weapon of choice is a six speaker home theater bought online last year.
So last night as expected he had the music turned way up. What he didn’t have very loud was the bass. I knew my home theater speakers might not grab his attention since sound was already pumping through his place but he would feel bass. Inserting a bass test CD into the game console connected to the home theater, I proceeded to rumble the walls until he cut his music quiet. At this point, I turned the home theater off and think we came to an understanding. If not the bass CD is close by.
